Black Sabbath Tickets: The Legacy of Heavy Metal's Founding Fathers

Black Sabbath tickets are among the most searched in rock history, and for good reason: no band has shaped heavy metal more fundamentally. The Birmingham four-piece formed in 1968 and released their self-titled debut on 13 February 1970, a date now recognised as the birth of heavy metal. Over a career spanning five decades, Black Sabbath sold over 70 million records worldwide, including a RIAA-certified 15 million in the United States alone.

The band's catalogue spans 19 studio albums, from the 1970 debut through to 13 in 2013, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and earned them two Grammy wins: Best Metal Performance for Iron Man in 2000, and again for God Is Dead? in 2014. Paranoid, released in 1970, remains their best-selling album with over 12 million copies sold worldwide. Their final official touring chapter, The End, concluded in Birmingham in 2017. On 5 July 2025, the original lineup of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward reunited for one final charity concert at Villa Park, Birmingham, titled Back to the Beginning, performing in front of 45,000 fans. It was their first performance together since 2005. Ozzy Osbourne passed away on 22 July 2025, seventeen days after that final show. As of August 2026, there are no confirmed new Black Sabbath live dates in Europe or elsewhere. A classical orchestral tour of the Black Sabbath catalogue was announced at MIDEM 2026 in February 2026 by Sharon Osbourne and Live Nation UK promoter Andy Copping, with a planned UK launch at the Royal Albert Hall, though no confirmed dates have been officially announced as of publication.

For collectors, tribute concerts and archive releases continue to keep the legacy alive. ticketbande has been Europe's specialist ticket marketplace since 2001, with over one million customers across ten European domains and more than 4,600 Trustpilot reviews.
