About Augsburger Domsingknaben
Augsburger Domsingknaben Tickets: 50th Anniversary Tour 2026 in Germany
Augsburger Domsingknaben tickets are on sale now for the 50th Anniversary Jubilee Tour 2026: four landmark concerts in Munich, Augsburg, Hamburg and Dresden. On 25 October 2026 the ensemble performs at Herkulessaal München, followed by Hoher Dom zu Augsburg on 30 October, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg on 2 November and Kreuzkirche Dresden on 3 November. The programme features Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber's monumental «Missa Salisburgensis à 53 voci», performed alongside the Baroque Ensemble of the Bavarian State Orchestra and the Swiss ensemble Les Cornets Noirs. Further concerts follow in December: three Traditionelle Weihnachtskonzerte at the Goldener Saal Augsburg on 5 and 6 December 2026, plus Weihnachtsoratorium performances in Augsburg on 13 December and at Herkulessaal München on 14 December 2026.
The Augsburger Domsingknaben were re-founded in 1976 and trace their documented tradition back to 1439, when boy choristers were first recorded at Augsburg Cathedral. Under current director Stefan Steinemann, who took over on 1 January 2020 at age 29 as Germany's youngest cathedral choirmaster at the time, the choir has continued its international reputation. In 2024 the Bavarian state government admitted the Augsburger Domsingknaben to the Bavarian Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The ensemble has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon and released the album «Palestrina 500» in 2025. Their 2026 Jubilee Tour is built around one of the most ambitious works of the Baroque era: Biber's «Missa Salisburgensis», composed around 1682 for 53 voices. The production combines the choir's vocal precision with period-instrument forces of European rank, making this tour a rare opportunity to hear the piece live in premiere concert halls.
Several dates on the 2026 tour are expected to sell out quickly given the prestige of the venues and the anniversary occasion. ticketbande has been Europe's first commercial ticket marketplace since 2003 and serves over one million customers across ten European domains. With buyer protection included on every order, more than 4,600 Trustpilot reviews and daily support from 08:00 to 22:00, ticketbande is a reliable source for Augsburger Domsingknaben tickets.
