Founded in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, the Eagles began as a backing band for Linda Ronstadt. Their first album was released in 1972 with the hit "Take It Easy". It was the beginning of a unique career. Six Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, Echo, two Brit Awards and a place in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame followed. With their best-of album "Their Greatest Hits 1971 - 1975", released in 1976, the Eagles became the best-selling album in music history (38 times platinum). Now the band will be back on stage in the UK and the Netherlands in 2024!
