About Pezet
Jan Paweł Kapliński (born April 18, 1980 in Warsaw) is a Polish rapper who has been active since 1998. He began his career with the hip-hop duo Płomień 81, which he founded in 1998 together with Marcin “Onar” Donesz. By 2005, the duo had released three albums: Na zawsze będzie płonął (1999), Nasze dni (2000), and Historie z sąsiedztwa (2005).
In 2002, Pezet launched his solo career with the album Muzyka klasyczna, followed by Muzyka poważna (2004) and Muzyka rozrywkowa (2007). The latter went platinum and received a Fryderyk Award nomination.
In 2010, he released the album Dziś w moim mieście with his brother Małolat, which reached number 5 on the Polish charts and went gold.
After a long hiatus, Pezet returned in 2019 with Muzyka współczesna, which reached number one on the Polish charts and was certified diamond. This was followed in 2022 by Muzyka komercyjna, which also reached number one and spawned the single Dom nad wodą, which was certified diamond.
In 2025, Pezet announced his eighth studio album, entitled Muzyka popularna, which is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2025. Previously released singles such as Zizu, Odległość, and Lepiej gonić niż złapać showcase a futuristic sound and a further development of his style.
