Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg tickets are now available for the 2026/27 season, ‚ZEITENLOS', opening on 30 and 31 August 2026 at the Elbphilharmonie Großer Saal in Hamburg.

The season launch concert on Sunday, 30 August 2026 at 11:00 and Monday, 31 August 2026 at 20:00 marks the start of a Beethoven-centred programme built around the composer's 200th death anniversary in 2027. Chief conductor Omer Meir Wellber, who took over as Generalmusikdirektor at the start of the 2025/26 season, weaves all 37 movements of Beethoven's nine symphonies into new sound spaces under the motto ‚ZEITENLOS'. Further confirmed Philharmonic Concert dates at the Elbphilharmonie include 20 and 21 December 2026, 31 January and 1 February 2027, 28 February and 1 March 2027, 18 and 19 April 2027, and 30 April and 1 May 2027.

The Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg is Hamburg's largest and oldest orchestra. Its roots go back to 9 November 1828, when the Philharmonische Gesellschaft was founded as an association for winter concerts. Artists including Clara Schumann, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Gustav Mahler, Prokofiev, and Stravinsky performed with or conducted the ensemble. In 1934 the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Hamburg Municipal Theatre merged to form the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg. The orchestra inaugurated the Laeiszhalle in 1908 and today plays at virtually every opera and ballet performance at the Hamburg State Opera alongside its own Philharmonic concert series. On 3 August 2026, the Michael Otto Stiftung announced a partnership of one million euros to support the orchestra across the 2026/27 to 2028/29 seasons.

For a Beethoven year of this scale, high demand is expected across multiple dates. ticketbande has been Europe's first professional ticket marketplace since 2001, with buyer protection and over 4,600 Trustpilot reviews. Buy your Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg tickets now at ticketbande.
