Austria will host the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in 2026.
The venue will be the Wiener Stadthalle, as it was in 1967 and 2015.

A budget of over €22 million guarantees an event full of highlights – including public fan zones, concerts and anniversary celebrations throughout the city.

1956: The ESC kicks off in Lugano – seven countries lay the foundation.
1974: ABBA make pop history with Waterloo.
1988: Céline Dion wins for Switzerland – the beginning of a global career.
2014: Conchita Wurst brings a message of diversity to the stage with Rise Like a Phoenix.
2025: JJ from Austria thrills Europe with Wasted Love – a mix of opera and techno, a symbol of love and solidarity. With his victory, he brings the ESC back to Austria!
