Her career began in Colombia in the 1990s, but she made her international breakthrough with the album Laundry Service (2001) – including global hits such as ‘Whenever, Wherever’ and ‘Underneath Your Clothes’.
This was followed by unforgettable songs such as: Hips Don't Lie (feat. Wyclef Jean), Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) – the official 2010 World Cup song, La La La (2014 FIFA World Cup), She Wolf, Chantaje, Te Felicito, BZRP Music Sessions #53 (with Bizarrap).
Shakira combines Latin American pop, Arabic sounds, rock, reggaeton and dance – plus her iconic dance moves and strong stage presence.
Review & outlook: Tour 2026?
Shakira's last major world tour, El Dorado World Tour (2018), took her through Europe, North and South America. Since then, fans have been waiting for a stage comeback. After numerous solo singles, features and appearances at award ceremonies, a stadium tour could finally be on the cards again in 2026. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet – but Shakira has already hinted that she is ‘ready for something big’.
