Lana Del Rey, born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant on 21 June 1985 in New York City, is an American singer, songwriter and producer known for her unique style. Her music combines retro elements from the 1950s and 1960s with contemporary pop, indie and alternative sounds. With melancholic lyrics and atmospheric melodies, she has established herself as one of the most influential artists of her generation.

Lana Del Rey became famous in 2011 with her viral hit ‘Video Games’, which appeared on her second studio album ‘Born to Die’ (2012).
